Overview
Following the great Kobe-Awaji earthquake disaster in 1995, earthquake-proof testing has been applied not only to power plant facilities but also to office equipment, furniture and other products.
Seismic simulator
Features of the seismic simulator
- Can simulate actual seismic waves (3-D and 6-DOF).
- Accommodates a maximum specimen weight of 35 tons. Under this loading condition, it generates maximum accelerations of 1.5 G (horizontal) and 1.0 G (vertical).
- The size of the seismic simulator is 4.5 m x 4.5 m. Bolt holes provided in the table surface make it easy to secure all sizes of specimens.
- Equipped with a 128-channel measuring and data processing system (DC~51.2 kHz).
- Driven by an electro-hydraulic servo system with an exciting frequency range of 0 to 50 Hz.
